Raw Vegan Burrito / Taco Pate recipe

Raw Vegan Burrito / Taco Pate recipe:

This is my favorite seed based recipe, this stuff is delicious. I've seen tons of nut based, more expensive to make taco recipes but I wanted something cheaper to make with high quality tasty raw ingredients. I conjured this up my first year I went raw. This is what I feed all my omnivorous friends and they all love it. People first starting out eating raw are always very happy to come across this recipe.

Ingredients:

- 3-4 handfulls of raw, hulled sunflower seeds

-1-3 cloves of garlic

- Half of a small to medium onion

- A few splashes of cumin

- Juice of half a lemon

-1 half tomato or 1 whole roma tomato

- A tablespoon or so of coconut aminos, liquid aminos, nama shoyu or soy sauce

- Sea salt to taste

- Ground black pepper to taste

- A couple pinches of cayanne powder - can substitute with any hot pepper as well

- Half a cup-ish of water - Add slowly so that it turns in the blender - you don't want to add too much water and you can always add more as you go. A little runny is ok but not too much - it hardens up in the fridge, or the freezer for a few minutes.

Blend everything in the blender for about 5-7 minutes, making sure to take frequent breaks so that you don't burn out your blender, and enjoy.

A lot of ingredients and spices can be left out, substituted or added for different flavors like plain cheeze style or Indian spiced. Goes great in a romaine leaf, collard wrap, or nori wrap with chopped vegetables. I personally enjoy it on romaine with marinated tomato, onion, and mushrooms.

Much love and Bon' Appetite!
